Edit just finished my Pern inspired Gather Best

One have in the last two weeks lost 1 stone.  One knows it is not much, but it is a start and One is on the right track.

In ages long before Gaia created humans she had all her great animals with her on this earth. One day the Mother was taken by darkness into his deep lair. All animals gathered to go and save her. Noble Falcon, proud Stag, Chimera, Majestic Unicorn, and her other great animals gathered on the shores of the world. Wolf came to join her would be saviors but they all scoffed at Wolf. They turned saying "We are her greatest creations, what can lowly wolf offer to aid us?" They sent Wolf back as they sounded their war trumpets and headed off into the pit of darkness.

A short time later they were beaten back by darkness's defenses. All thought the mother was lost for good.

Wolf then came forward and said "You did not succeed in saving our mother. I will go and save her." All animals again scoffed at wolf.
"We, her greatest animals could not save her, what can the lowly wolf do?" they said in mocking tones.

Just then there was piercing cry of a bird of prey and noble Falcon raised his batter wing and said
"NO! Since we have all failed, even the lowest of the low of the Mother's creations has the right, nay the duty to save her. Go Wolf, and rescue Mother." Falcon watched Wolf leave with a saddened look as he knew what wolf was willing to and must do. All the others simply watched saddened only by there separation from Gaia

Wolf crept into darkness, past his defense. Slowly and silently he tracked Mother's sent, and then he heard her singing a mournful song. Darkness was making Mother sing to him. Wolf crept to where he could see the very heart of darkness, and then he lunged and sunk his teeth deep into the beating heart. Darkness wailed against wolf and slashed at him.
Wolf bit harder.
Darkness cried out "I will kill your Mother if you do not release me."
Wolf Bit Harder.
Darkness screamed, "I will kill you."
Wolf Bit Harder.
Darkness then hollered, "You will kill us all, you fool!"
WOLF BIT HARDER
Darkness stammered, "I have released your Mother. Let me go!"
WOLF BIT HARDER!
Finally darkness touched Wolf, and Wolf could bite no more.

Gaia, the mother of all returned to the shores of the world and all her animals Cried with joy "Our mother is back she is free and safe!" all her animals were happy again, except one. Gaia walked over to Falcon and asked

"Falcon, are you not pleased to see me returned?"

"Only you know the joy in my heart Mother." Falcon replied, "but where is Wolf?"

It was then the other animals noticed Gaia returned alone, and all bowed there heads in honour of Wolf's sacrifice and in shame.

"Do not mourn long for Wolf" Mother spoke gently and she spread apart her arms and bore wolf's body back from the ground, the she bent down and left a gentle kiss on his head. Wolf's eyes opened, his tail wagged and he sprung back to life. All the animals gathered to hail Wolf the hero, and sing his praises, but again Falcon's head was bowed and he was somber.

"Are you not happy I am back from death Falcon?" Wolf asked him

"Yay my brother, only Mother can know the joy in my heart, but I am to ashamed to look upon as I feel I do not deserve the pleasure!" Again, the other animals knew what Falcon meant and were humbled.

Gaia then spoke again "All you, my greatest animals could not save me; it took my lowly Wolf to rescue me. I therefore set apart wolves from his line to become Great Wolves to be called Garou. The Garou will be my protector and all of you will serve the Garou as Totem Spirits." Turning to Falcon she continued, "Only you, noble Falcon, believed in Wolf and knew what he planed to do, you will therefore serve the highest of their kin. When I create Man I will have these Garou able to change their skin and walk between the animal and human world to bring harmony to my world." With that Mother gave Garou a parting kiss. It is this wolf from which my tribe has the closest bond and direct lineage. Because of this first wolf's sacrifice, we have the closets bond with the land.

This is the story of how life was created in the world and how Gaia created a place for me and my kin to protect the world. The responsibility is awesome.

Lord Keith, The Duke of Cardiff, Count Farkas of Hunyad, The Voice of Falcon, Llias yr Hebog, Athro Silverfang Galliard and Keeper of the Record of the House of Wyrmfoe

Lord Keith was born to Lord Keith of Cardiff 1^st, and Katianka.

Young Lord Keith was born, as his mother was, a wolf. His Garou heritage came out a winter later. Since then he has lived as a human and assumed his father's lands and titles. Lord Keith's mother, Katianka, was a Garou, a Silverfang theurge of some note.

Once while travelling in lands to the east, known to the locals as Magyarorszag, or what we call Hungary, Lord Keith was told by a Falcon spirit that 2 kin where in danger. He immediately rushed to save them singlehandedly. For this he was offered rewards but he would accept only friendship of the king for his queen and the hand of Princess Edit in marriage. Due to Hungrian traditions, he was given the title Count of Hunyad, for no Hungarian princess could marry anything but royalty or Hungarian nobility.

Lord Keith has made his presence known now to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Glorianna's court (GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!)
